I'm Jax. I got my start fifteen years ago at Boostability in Lehi (web development, SEO, process management), then joined DentalQore in American Fork as a front-end developer, building custom WordPress sites for dental practices. Over a thousand of them personally, fast enough that my build times became the company standard. Seven months in, I was promoted to Development Manager.
Six years leading that team taught me the other half of the job: process. We cut average build time from 15 hours to 7, halved delivery from 90 days to 45, and shipped 14+ sites a week with a team of three. That track record led to VP of Operations, owning customer experience across thousands of accounts, cutting monthly churn by 30%, and aligning six departments around it. Most of that job was translation: sitting between a frustrated practice owner and an engineering team, turning what the client actually meant into what the developers actually built. That bridge (client conversation on one side, technical solution on the other) is where I do my best work.
In 2024 I went out on my own with Thornwood Digital, a web development and marketing studio for Utah small businesses. And because I can't leave a workflow un-automated, I built my own software to run it (more on that below).
